The first star: green beans! They contain few calories and are rich in vitamins A, B, C, iron and fiber. Plus, they're easy to prepare and go well with other foods. You can eat them as much as you want as long as you do not accompany them with sauces. Instead, opt for olive oil, lemon juice or balsamic vinegar. You can vary the green beans with broccoli, Brussels sprouts or cauliflower, zucchini, peppers or even asparagus.
The second star: poultry and especially turkey. Poultry is rich in linoleic acid, vitamins A, B1, B2 and contains phosphorus and potassium. Instead, prefer turkey. It is low in animal fat while its proteins, which are so essential for our body, are easy to digest. In general, opt for the breast of the poultry. For example, chicken breast is rich in vitamin B6 which promotes the assimilation of unsaturated fatty acids. It is also rich in glutamine which stimulates the nervous system and niacin (vitamin B3) which reduces cholesterol levels. If you want to lose weight avoid wings and skin because of their high fat content!
As for side dishes that help you lose weight, you are spoiled for choice with whole grains. However, if you are looking to get rid of extra pounds and cellulite avoid oats, wheat, rye and barley as they contain gluten – one of the main contributors to being overweight and cellulite . What do we have left? Brown rice, buckwheat, millet or even a new addition to our plates – quinoa.
In the menu of a slender woman we also find wholemeal bread in limited quantities. White flour as well as white sugar destroy our body by providing it with empty calories. So our skin loses its beauty and youth! Opt for two slices of wholemeal bread per day, preferably during breakfast.
The fifth star: salmon. This fish does not have the place it deserves in weight loss diets! It is very rich in these famous Omega 3 which are vital for our cell membranes. Therefore, salmon helps prevent premature aging and cellulite formation. You can consume it without fear or restrictions. The unsaturated fatty acids it contains are essential for our body and have no adverse effects on the figure provided they are accompanied by vegetables while avoiding cereals and starchy foods.
Diversify your menu with aromatic herbs. Little tip: add them to dishes at the start of their preparation or simply garnish your salads. Aromatic herbs promote digestion, have antioxidant properties and eliminate toxins from our body. Use them in all forms: fresh, dried or frozen.
